Blacksburg kicker Carson Wise had a huge night last Friday night against Radford, booting three field goals, including a mammoth 55 yarder.
Wise and the Bruins were up on the mountain to butt heads with Floyd County on Friday night.
The Buffaloes were looking to get coach Winfried Beale's 200th career victory.
That wouldn't be an easy task against Blacksburg's defense. Floyd faced an early 3rd-and-6. Blacksburg's Korbin Hendricks and Tyler Siorda came up with the big sack for the Bruins.
More defense, this time from Floyd. Blacksburg with 3rd-and-9, Isaiah Baker got to the quarterback and brought him down for a loss of five.
Blacksburg started to get things going in the second quarter. Isaac Johnston found Korbin Hendricks for a 17-yard gain. On the very next play, Johnston found Morgan McCoy in the end zone for a 23-yard touchdown
That put Blacksburg up 7-zip. The Bruins never look back, going on to win this one 44-19.
