The Seminole District's two newest coaches hooked up Friday night in Rustburg as Jack Baker's Red Devils hosted Marshall Schmitt's Brookville Bees, who made the trek across Campbell County.

The Red Devils were on fire in the third quarter, leading 21-7, but a mistake gave the Bees some momentum.

Rustburg's Anthony Lovelace on the roll out, looking for a receiver, but his pass was intercepted by Brookville's Justin Whetsel.

The Bees turned that into a field goal to make it 21-10.

Lovelace made up for it on the next drive with a 30 yard run. He simply wouldn’t go down, and that effort put the Red Devils in scoring range thanks in part to some shoddy tackling by the Bee-fense.

Randall Jones finishes things off with a 10-yard run, putting the Red Devils up 28-10.

Brookville tried to do something on its next drive, but Devin Cook coughed it up and Rustburg recovers. It was that kind of night for Brookville.

Jones scored again for Rustburg, sneaking past the Brookville defense to take it into the endzone.

Rustburg finishes on top, 35-10.
It's the Red Devils’ first win over the Bees since 2004.
