In the 2A West ranks, Dan River drew a date with Buckingham and the Knights explosive offense that put up 63 points in a blowout of James River last Friday night.

Early on Terrell Edmunds got the call and snuck in behind the defense on the touchdown and Dan River was on the board. But Leon Ragland blocked the extra point try for Buckingham keeping it a 6 point game.

Ragland, on offense, handed off to Kenneth Johnson near the 40 yard line. He ran up the left side of the field, bypassing part of the Wildcats' defense and ran 25 yards before getting tackled near the 35 yard line. It was good for a first down.

A few plays later and Buckingham was taking advantage of their field advantage on the 10 yard line. Ragland handed off to Johnson breaking through a tackle and emerging in the endzone.

Buckingham took the lead by one point in the first half, 7 to 6.

Buckingham went on to win this one, 15-6.
