VINTON, Va. -

There was another solid 3A West matchup at Vinton's Bob Patterson Stadium this week as William Byrd locked up with Christiansburg.  There were plenty of playmakers on the field for both sides from the Terriers Zac Hill and Simeon Horstmann to Tanner Reed and Kory Hendricks for the Blue Demons.

The Blue Demons came up with a huge special teams play to start the second half.  Mack Muldoon blocked the punt and Grant Vitaliano made the recovery for the touchdown and it was a ballgame, as Byrd led it 14-10.

Zac Hill had the Terriers on the move again though.  He took off on a 13 yard gain, getting down to the one yard line.

On the next play, Hill scored to make it 21-10 Terriers, giving Byrd some breathing room again.

In the fourth quarter, the Blue Demons Christopher Jackson had his pass picked off by Evan Owens giving the ball right back to Hill and the offense.

Hill scored again.  William Byrd took out Christiansburg 28 to 10.
