LYNCHBURG, Va. -

This week at City Stadium in Lynchburg EC Glass and Heritage staged their annual battle for the Jug Bowl.

Brad Bradley's team had a perfect 6 and 0 against 3 and 3 Glass.

The Pioneers were on cruise control, up 28 to nothing at the half but the Hilltoppers chipped away in the third.

It was 28 to 7 when Glass went for it on fourth down.  Donnie Morgan was on the roll out to Deqwan Polk in the endzone from four yards out to make it 28 to 14 headed to the final quarter.

Morgan went to work for Glass again.  He connected with Quentin Garland and Garland turned it into a 46 yard touchdown.  The Toppers scored 21 straight points to get within 7.

But Heritage slammed the door.  Austin Fitzgerald went to Tyron Tracy on a big gainer.  The huge connection over the middle set up Heritage with a first and goal at the five yard line as the Pioneers threaten to put one on ice.

Fitzgerald finished things off with the keeper to make it 35 to 21 Pioneers.

Hickson added a late tally and Heritage held off the Glass rally to win 42 to 28.
