CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -

Franklin County faced a crossroads this week at Christiansburg, staring at a 1 and 3 start with a loss.  Chris Jones hoped his team could get off the mat and avenge last year's overtime loss to the Blue Demons.

The Blue Demons were anxious to hold court tonight on the home turf.

After a slow start by both offenses, the Blue Demons defense got to work.  Logan Atkins recovered a Bradley Parcell fumble and Christiansburg had it on the Eagles 38 yard line.

2 plays later, Charlie Jackson handed the ball to Kory Hendricks who broke through a tackle and sniffed the zone for a 7-nothing Christiansburg advantage.

The Eagles had some special teams trouble as a blocked punt by Cory Hendricks got picked up by CJ Kurlee and he was on his way to the house. Just like that, the Blue Demons were up 14-0.

Kurlee then blocked another Eagles' punt which lead to an 18 yd field goal by Jake Hamley.  It was 17-nothing at the half and Christiansburg dropped Franklin County to 1 and 3 on the season with the 34 to 6 win.
