RADFORD, Va. -

Giles and Radford were both unbeaten in Three Rivers play entering this week's contest at Norm Lineburg Field.  The Bobcats faced a tall order in trying to slow down the unbeaten Spartans.

Radford was trying to spoil Giles perfect season and early on the Bobcats seemed to be up to the challenge.

On third down-- Giles fumbled the exchange the Spartans would fall on it but it was a loss of 14 yards that would force them to punt.

But on defense-- the Spartans were strong, third and short for Radford, they ran a sweep and Giles was there to swarm for a loss.

They would regain possession and started to heat up Brian Mann with the long rush downfield for the first down.

But on fourth and short the Radford defense was there again to stop them.

In the second quarter, Giles finally got its break. Dusty Boggess was on the long run to the outside sets up a first and goal.

Tyler Perdue cashed it in for the score making it it 7-zip Spartans as they went go on to win it 14-7.
