Just before halftime, Brian Mann hit Cody Rhodes, who marched ahead for 26 yards to the 31 yard-line. On the next play Brett Whitlow went the rest of the way into the endzone for the touchdown as the Spartans took a 14-7 lead into halftime.
To the Second half now. On 4th-and-5, Brian Mann got the carry and found open space down the sideline, going 33 yards for the score. The Spartans start to pull away with the score 21-7.

Giles will face Brunswick in the 2A State title game next Saturday in Salem.
“When you've got guys like we've got and the way our offensive line blocks and pop runs like that and get up two or three scores,” Giles coach Jeff Williams said. “We got up three scores on them and it was just big. and a big play we got right there was when we got that first down that was huge too I thought.”
