FLOYD, Va. -

It was an exciting week for quarterback Levi Mullins and Glenvar, high up on the mountain in a battle with the Floyd County Buffaloes.

The Buffaloes started with the stampede onto the field on homecoming night.

Floyd was looking to go up early.  Matt Bary called his own number and spun down to the five yard line.

Two plays later, the Buffs went to Bary again on the designed run play.  He got in on the short score and it was 7-nothing in the first.

In the second quarter, Bary pitched it to the left side but Glenvar's Seth Thompson jumped the route and made the pick.  He was off the other way and he turned in the nifty return getting to the Floyd 6 yard line.

The Highlanders took advantage.  Levi Mullins hooked up with Jake Schaeffer on the score.  Glenvar won a tight one, 26 to 25 over Floyd County.
