The Patrick Henry Patriots played their third straight home game Friday night, hosting the Blue Streaks from Harrisonburg at Gainer Field.
What a night for Amy Cook. She's on the football team and was named Patrick Henry's homecoming queen. Congratulations to her.
We pick this one up in the third quarter, PH ball. Quishon Calfee with the QB keeper. He picks up 13 yards and a 1st down to put the Patriots into scoring position.
On the very next play, Treyvon Terry got the handoff from Calfee and took it 19 yards for six. Extra point is good. PH up 35-9 late in the third.
We move to the fourth quarter. Harrisonburg ball. On third down Ryan Nixon found Ranon Barber wide open down field for a big gain before he's chased down by Deangelo Harris.
A few plays later, 3rd and 1 on the 3, Harrisonburg's Devin Medley sneaks in for the touchdown midway through the fourth. That cuts PH's lead to, 35-16.
The Patriots' Trevor Mike wasn't about to let that spoil his night. He takes the handoff and busts off a 44-yard run all the way to the endzone. He was also named homecoming king. It's a night he won't soon forget, as PH rolls to the 42-22 win.
