- Heritage 18, Gretna 14, 3Q:  In our Friday Football Extra Game of the Week, the Pioneers scored on their first play from scrimmage to take a 6-0 lead. The Hawks led 14-12 at halftime.

- Pulaski 17, Staunton River 10, 10:54 left in 3Q: Marcus Johnston hit Dillon Alley on a 29-yard touchdown pass to open up the scoring for the Cougars. Staunton River tied it early in the second quarter. In the third quarter a 77-yard Dillon Alley TD run put the Cougars up 17-10 with 10:54 left in the 3rd.

- Northside 17, Salem 10, 1:39 left in 3Q: A Fox 10-yard TD run put the Spartans on top 7-0 in the first quarter. The two teams headed into the locker room tied at 10 apiece. A Dunnaville TD pass to Harold Buckner put the Vikings up 17-10.

- Hidden Valley 34, Bassett 7, 4Q: In Bassett, the visiting Titans took an early lead.

- Amherst 32, Rockbridge 3, 3:21left in 3Q: The Wildcats got on the board with an early FG. The Lancers responded with two TDs to take the lead.

- Lord Botetourt 50, Richlands 0, 1:20 minutes left in 1Q: A five-minute drive to start the game for the Cavaliers ended with a Chris Thompson touchdown run, and two-point conversion. Thompson put Lord Botetourt up 16-0 with a 73-yard run. Thompson scored again with 4:11 left in the 1Q to put LB up 22-0. Thompson scored his 4th TD of the first quarter after a long pass from Webb to Oyler. A Nick Webb 79-yard touchdown gave the Cavaliers a 36-point advantage.

- Giles 33, Narrows 0, 3:15 left in 2Q: Giles took a two-touchdown lead early in the battle of Giles County.

- George Wythe 9, Floyd County 6,  4:44 1Q: Both teams scored on their opening possessions. A George Wythe TD late in the first half put them up 9-6 after the missed point-after try.

- Christiansburg 26, Franklin County 0, halftime: After a Franklin County fumble, Kory Hendricks scored and Jake Hamley drilled the point-after try for a 7-zip Blue Demon lead. A blocked Eagle punt led to Christiansburg's second touchdown. A short time later, a Hamley FG put the Blue Demons up 17-zip. Another Christiansburg FG put them up 20. A Tanner Reed TD made it 26-0 Blue Demons.

- E.C. Glass 28, William Fleming 7, 10:29 left in 3Q: It's tied after one quarter in Lynchburg.

- Patrick Henry 14, Albemarle 0, start of 4Q: The Patriots went ahead by two touchdowns with 17 seconds left in the 3Q.

- Tunstall 21, Chatham 0, 7:50 left in 2Q:

- Altavista 30, Galax 14, start of 4Q: A Peoples run brought the Maroon Tide to within three points early. Altavista led 30-14 after three quarters.

- Glenvar 20, Grayson 8, 5 minutes left in 3Q: The Highlanders went ahead 13-0 on a 70-yard TD pass from Mullins to Martin. A Grayson

- Cave Spring 30, Alleghany 28, 3:20 left in 4Q: It's the Knights' homecoming night. Alleghany drove 97 yards on its first possession of the third quarter for a TD, but their two-point try failed. A Mountaineer TD brought Alleghany to within 23-22, but their PAT was blocked by Cave Spring. Alleghany ran back a 95-yard kickoff with 3:20 left to cut it to within two, but the Mountaineers' two-point try failed.

- Covington 28, Eastern Montgomery 13, start of 3Q: On the first play of the second half, the Mustangs' Daryl Manns took the kick back 89 yards for a touchdown, to pull the Mustangs to within 21-13. Covington answered with a 35-yard TD run to go up 28-13.
