The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers have been a scoring machine with 55 points in week one and another 56 last week. On Friday night Don Rice's team figured to get a good road test at Appomattox.

Kendall Blankenship got the ball and took it in from 29 yards out to put the Raiders up 24-21.

Jefferson Forest's offense continued moving the ball. A bit later Ryan Crist punched it in from a few yards out. Cavs went back on top 28-24 with just over eight minutes left to play.

From there it was all Appomattox. Blankenship gave it to Deion Edwards for the short TD run, putting the Raiders up 31-28.

Appomattox kept pouring it on. Blankenship scored from 22 yards out. Appomattox surprised Jefferson Forest 45-28.
