MONETA, Va. -

Jefferson Forest put up 55 points in its opener last week.  This week Ryan Crist and the Cavaliers took their high flying attack to Moneta to clash with Staunton River and the single wing.

It was the home opener for the Golden Eagles who were looking for their first win over Forest since 2010. But the Cavaliers had other plans.

On the opening possession of the game, Ryan Crist handed-off to Michael Foster who capped-off the 79-yard drive with the 1-yard score. Jefferson Forest was on the board 7- nothing.

Less than 5 minutes later, the Cavs found the endzone again. They went for it on 4th down on the 11 and turned it into 6 more. Jefferson Forest up 14- zip after the first quarter.

Crist was orchestrating more points for the Jefferson Forest offense in the second as he gets the ball to David Aveson for the 38 yard touchdown. The Eagles tried to get something going on their end. Ramir Hunt picked up a solid first down to the 32, but they turned it over on downs.

This one was all Jefferson Forest as they beat Staunton River 56-13.
