BUCHANAN, Va. -

The James River Knights were looking for just their second win over arch rival Lord Botetourt since the series was renewed in 2007.  But the Knights got a healthy dose of Cavaliers running back Chris Thompson.

Botetourt was up big early in the third.  Sophomore Bradley Lythgoe was doing it all by himself on the keeper.  He went around the right side on the 33 yard TD, but it got called back on a hold.  The drive fizzled out three plays later.

James River tried to get something going.  Sherman Austin got it to Trey Chilcott on a nice 17 yard connection on the roll out to move the sticks for James River.

Later in the 4th, the Cavaliers were trying to run out the clock, but Lithgoe broke another one.

Lord Botetourt's starters got to rest most of the second half as the Cavs roll to the 43 to 0 win.
