ROCKBRIDGE CO., Va. -

Lord Botetourt was trying to hold up its end of the bargain Friday paying a visit to one win Rockbridge County in Lexington.

It wouldn't be easy against the Wildcats and their crowd.
Botetourt was trying to make something happen on special teams early. Bobby Staples on the punt return and he picks up some blocks, picking his way back up field all the way to the Rockbridge 32 yard line where the Cavs setup shop.
Then Chris Thompson does the rest from there. He sniffed the endzone on the nice run to put LB on top 6-nothing following a failed two point conversion.

Rockbridge faced a fourth down at the 40 later in the half.
Quarterback Cameron Wood handed to Cheyenne Pooley for a huge first down and a little momentum for the home team.

The Wildcats keep it rolling with Omar White. He took off on a sprint to the endzone. The PAT put Rockbridge up 7-6 at the half.

In the third quarter, Botetourt retook the lead. It's Thompson again as he went up the middle for the touchdown. This time the two-pointer was good. Botetourt knocked off Rockbridge County 25-7.
