ROANOKE, Va. -

This week at William Fleming where the Colonels hosted Lord Botetourt, a team that rode the wave of emotion last week with a huge win over Northside at home in a battle of unbeatens.

This week the Cavs looked to avoid a letdown.

Botetourt rolled onto the field looking to pick up win number 8 tonight.

Early in the first, the Cavs tailback Chris Thomson sprung forward to pick up 13 on an early 3rd down run.

Later in the drive Nick Webb finished it off with a designed Q-B draw. He was in and Botetourt took the early 8-nothing lead.

But Fleming didn't go away. Jerome Hill took the midfield handoff and sliced and diced his way into the secondary all the way to the 12 yard line.

Three plays later, Hill got the call again and spun out of the big pile and he was in for 6.

Fleming kept it close tonight, but Lord Botetourt hung on for the 20 to 18 win.
