At Rocky Mount's Cy Dillon Stadium, Magna Vista called on the Eagles this week. These two played a shootout last season.
It was standing room only on homecoming night.
In the 3rd quarter with the Warriors up by 6, Shoalin McGuire took the big shot to George Ramey for 52 yards into the red zone. The deep ball setup the Warriors to gain some breathing room.
Three plays later, those two hooked up again in the back of the end zone for the touchdown. It was 21 to 7 Magna Vista at the end of the 3rd.
The Eagles were looking to rebound as Brad Parcell fired to Carlton Adams for the 5 yard touchdown to cut the lead to one possession.
Magna Vista then looked to run out the clock but Chanco Estes coughed it up and somehow teammate Jalen Hairston kept it and he was gone for another touchdown.
Magna Vista picked up the big road win 27 to 14 over Franklin County. The Eagles are now 1 and 2.
