VINTON, Va. -

Over at Bob Patterson Stadium in Vinton, Jeff Highfill's William Byrd Terriers tried to avoid a letdown, and stay unbeaten against Magna Vista.

The Warriors forced seven big turnovers in last week's win at Franklin County. Byrd faced an uphill battle down 21-7 at the half.
Shoalin McGuire got it done with his legs. A McGuire rushing TD put them up 38-7, and the rout was on. McGuire was equally impressive tonight with his arm. He went to the air for George Ramey Jr., who wrestled the ball away from the defender for the tough catch in traffic.

The Warriors made good when Jacqez Hairston carved up the Terriers defense for the touchdown up the middle and it was 44 to 7.

Byrd added a cosmetic score late. Dylan Kearny powered his way to a touchdown, but it's too little too late.
Magna Vista humbled William Byrd, making a statement in a 44-14 win.
