Parry McCluer went on the road last Friday and pulled-off the big 20-point upset win over third-seeded Washington and Lee. Just as they have all season, the Fighting Blues relied heavily on senior Ryheem Dawson, who tallied 427 all-purpose yards.
The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues got perhaps the toughest draw to a state championship of any 10-0 team in the playoffs. Despite being unbeaten, the Blues were just a 6 seed in 1A East, taking on Northumberland in Buena Vista.
Auburn has dropped the last six meetings against Parry McCluer, but Eagles head coach Jack Turner has only been around for one of those, and looking to put that losing streak to an end and preserve their undefeated record.
