ROANOKE CO., Va. -

Cave Spring had won four straight against Pulaski County.  This week the Cougars tried to buck the trend at Dwight Bogle Stadium in Roanoke County.

Cave Spring was trying to build on a 14-10 lead in the third quarter when Daniel Seymour knocked back a 30 yard field goal to make it a 7 point Cave advantage.

Pulaski had something working as Marcus Johnston hit Dillon Alley who laid out to make the grab for the Cougars.

That setup a field goal attempt but Shane Crisley had it blocked by number 27 Kyle Curtis which kept it 17 to 10.

Curtis had a great hustle play and he just got a fingertip on the ball to change its direction.

Late in the fourth, Alex Emery threw an interception to Marcus Payne, who was trying to make something happen on the return but he fumbled to give it right back to the Knights.

Cave was just trying to take a knee and run out the clock.  They almost turned the ball over again.  But the Knights did hang on to knock off Pulaski 17 to 10.
