RADFORD, Va. -

The Battle of the Bridge Friday night between Pulaski County and Radford was also a battle to get a win.  The loser between the Cougars and Bobcats was staring at an 0 and 2 start to the season.

The Radford student section was amped-up for the show-down. But on the Bobcats first possession, Marcus Finley couldn't hold onto the ball and Pulaski was all over it. The Cougars took over deep in Bobcats territory.

Then just two plays later, Marcus Johnston kept the ball and got into the endzone to put Pulaski up 7 to nothing.

The Cougars got the ball right back after another Radford fumble and they made them pay again. Dillon Alley hung on to the pass after getting hit pretty hard. He picked up 24 yards on the play.

Then from the 20 yard line, Quincy Rollins scampered into the endzone to put Pulaski up 14 to nothing.

Into the second quarter, Radford was trying to hold onto the ball after fumbles on all 3 of their possessions. Finley found R-J Jordan who couldn't quite make it to the endzone. He was down at the two yard line.

Finley then gets the Bobcats on the board on the Q-B keeper but Radford couldn't catch the Cougars tonight. Pulaski went on to win it 31 to 13.
