SALEM, Va. -

At Salem Stadium, the Spartans tried to win their 5th straight game in the series with Pulaski County.  The two teams had met once in the regular season and once in the postseason in each of the past two years and could be headed for that scenario again.

Coach Magenbauer was looking to go 8 and 2 in the regular season. His team was on top big, 28-zip to start the 3rd quarter.  Austin Coulling was back in the lineup going deep to Zack Hill on a 29 yard connection for the Spartans.

Two plays later it was Coleman Fox racing around the right end and he got the ball to the two yard line. Chandler Hunt finished the drive as he plunged in on the score to make it 35-nothing in the third.

Pulaski went 3 and out and Salem was on the move again.  Devante Womack rumbled 32 yards on the sweep, cutting upfield on the big gainer.

The Spartans cruised past Pulaski 42 to 6.

These two could meet again next Friday night in the first round of the postseason.
