FORT CHISWELL, Va. -

The Radford Bobcats needed a win this week at Fort Chiswell to avoid an 0 and 3 start to the season.  But things wouldn't be easy against Dallas Ward and the Pioneers who were trying to stay unbeaten at 3 and 0 tonight.

On the Fort's first drive, just 2 plays in and the Pioneers fumbled. Radford's Rasheed Jordan picked up the loose ball and picked up big yardage but the play was nullfied because of a facemask penalty.

Fort Chiswell tried to get something cookin' on the next series.   Quarterback Brett Mabry handed off to Patrick Beitleman who rumbled ahead for a Pioneers first down at the 11 yard line.

Two plays later, it was Mabry looking to the air and this time he was able to find Chase Rathbone in the end one for the touchdown. The two point conversion failed.

Fort Chiswell was up 6-nothing and the Pioneers cruise past Radford 49 to 13.
