LEXINGTON, Va. -

Following nine seasons as head football coach at Rockbridge County High School, Jason White has decided to resign that position with the Wildcats.

White says he'd like to spend more time with his family and pursue a Master's degree in educational leadership.

He led the Wildcats to a record of 48 and 52 during his tenure.

That included a trip to the 2006 Group Two A Division 3 championship game where the Wildcats lost 29-28 to Richlands.

White is a former player at Emory and Henry College in southwest Virginia.
