DALEVILLE, Va. -

Rustburg's new Head Coach Jack Baker is no stranger to Lord Botetourt.  Baker spent the past 9 years as head coach at Alleghany, one of Botetourt's chief district rivals.  This week, Baker was back in Daleville with the Red Devils.

There was plenty to cheer about in Daleville. Botetourt was up two scores early and the Cavaliers were looking for more.  They gave it to Bradley Lythgoe and he found a hole and went nineteen yards for the touchdown. It wastwenty-zip Botetourt late in the first.

Chris Thompson had a huge night for the Cavs. He broke through off the left side and Botetourt was rollin up by four scores.

Rustburg had all kinds of trouble in one play. A bad snap to Anthony Lovelace and he got swarmed by the Cav defense and Daniel Raider scooped up the loose ball.

Thompson was a workhorse and got to the edge, finding the endzone once again. Thompson went over 240 yards in the first half with four scores.

Nick Webb added a 55-yard tally racing down the far sideline and the rout was on.

The Cavs took down Rustburg to get to 2-and-0 with the 45-0 win.
