RUSTBURG, Va. -

After being suspended two-games earlier in the season Randall Jones has bounced back nicely and been a large part of Rustburg's offensive attack since his return to the lineup.

The senior running back and linebacker has done it all this season and last week he helped the Red Devils break a nine-game losing skid to their nemesis, the Brookville Bees.

348 yards on 25 carries led to four touchdowns for Randall Jones last week in Rustburg's 35-10 victory over Brookville.

“As a team we came up short against liberty and even before that we were busting tail in practice and just paid off Friday night. the o-line showed up put up some blocks and made reads and we put up some points,” Jones said.

Jones also stepped up on defense in the win over the Bees with several tackles and an interception. Now with the Red Devils making progress -- it's all about getting better through the remaining five games of the season.

“We've had good practices for about a month. And that's a credit to these kids who are kind of buying into something new. change is never easy especially on the kids at the older end who knew another way of doing things,” Rustburg coach Jack Baker said.

As 2013 is Baker's first season on the Red Devil sidelines, Rustburg is trying to make it to the playoffs for just the second time since 2003.

The team mentality is what Jones and the rest of the Red Devils hope is the driving force to a successful finish to the 2013 season.
