BLACKSBURG, Va. -

Virginia Tech senior cornerback Kyle Fuller is out 4-6 weeks after having surgery Tuesday to repair a core muscle injury.

Fuller will miss the Hokies’ regular-season finale on Nov. 30 at the University of Virginia. Fuller sat out Virginia Tech’s past two games -- losses to Maryland and Boston College.

Fuller had the surgery in Philadelphia. He is expected to make a full recovery and will start on his rehabilitation once he returns to Blacksburg, according to head trainer Mike Goforth.

This season Fuller has 24 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.
