Over the long weekend, the Imperial Valley 12-under Stoic baseball team won the Martin Luther King Triple Crown Tournament, which took place in Palm Springs. Pitcher Jakob Trujilo played a key role in the Stoic’s success.
What do you enjoy most about your sport?
Traveling with my team and playing in different cities.
What is one of your more memorable moments in your sport?
The most memorable moment in my sport was being called to pitch in the championship game.
Tell us about someone who inspires you and why.
Sergio Romo because he showed that kids in the Valley can make it to the major leagues.
What are your expectations for this season?
To continue to play hard for IV Stoic and keep learning from my coach Ricky Guzman.
