For the Spartans, Bailey Vincent had two goals and Samantha Alvarado and Karen Zavala had one goal each.
Central plays at Holtville High at 6 p.m. Friday.
Bulldogs beat Vikings, 4-0, in IVL game

Wildcats beat Yellowjackets, 13-1
BRAWLEY — The Brawley Union High boys’ soccer team beat Palo Verde Valley High, 13-1, in an Imperial Valley League match here Tuesday.
For the Wildcats, Raul Rubio, Adam Saracusa and Victor Trucios scored three goals each.
Carlos Cervantes scored two goals and Omar Celis and Misael Soto each scored one goal.
Bulldogs beat Vikings, 1-0
CALEXICO — The Calexico High boys’ soccer team beat Holtville High, 1-0, in Imperial Valley League action here Tuesday.
For the Bulldogs, Jesus Rodriguez scored the game’s only goal.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Bulldogs beat Spartans, 55-45
The Calexico High girls’ basketball team beat Central Union High, 55-45, in Imperial Valley League action here Tuesday.
For the Bulldogs, Martha Escobar had 24 points and Nancy Clark scored 14 points.
For the Spartans, Nettie Williams had 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. CeCe Charles had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Eagles overcome Wildcats, 50-41
The Southwest High girls’ basketball squad held off Brawley Union High in an Imperial Valley League game Tuesday in El Centro.
Evalyn Cota led the way for the Eagles with 13 points, seven assists, and six steals. Maci Lerno followed with 10 point and 10 rebounds. Elsa Sanchez also had 10 points, with six assists and four steals, and Faith Legakes contributed with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Both teams play again on Friday at 7 p.m., Southwest (16-6, 3-0 IVL) at Central Union High and Brawley (11-12, 1-2 IVL) at Calexico High.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Spartans edge Bulldogs, 46-43
The Central Union High boys’ basketball team overcame Calexico High, 46-43, in an Imperial Valley League game Tuesday in El Centro.
For the Spartans, Jakob Salgado totaled 16 points and Kris Lewenthal scored 15.
Central Union (2-0 IVL) will travel to face Southwest High (2-1 IVL) on Friday at 7 p.m., while Calexico (1-2 IVL) will host Brawley Union High (0-3 IVL) at the same time and day.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Spartans top Bulldogs, 71-58
The Central Union High boys’ junior varsity basketball team defeated Calexico High, 71-58, in an Imperial Valley League contest Tuesday in El Centro.
Spartans Joseph Balbuena and Christian Marquez scored 25 and 11 points, respectively.
Central Union (3-0 IVL) plays at Southwest High on Friday at 5:30 p.m., while Calexico will host Brawley Union at the same time and day.
