LYNCHBURG, Va. -

Game week for the Liberty Flames means a trip to Chapel Hill on Saturday to face North Carolina.

It's a chance for Turner Gill's team to make a statement right out of the gates against an ACC team on the road.

More than anything I think that's a big mark for us,” Liberty QB and Cave Spring grad Josh Woodrum said. “They're obviously in the ACC and we're trying to move up. We're trying to move into the Sun Belt or an FBS conference where we're going to have to beat some big teams, so I think everyone on the team has taken it as a personal challenge. Why not us? Why can't we be the first team to go up there and be the first team in five or six years to beat an FBS school?”
