Marshall has dismissed running back Kevin Grooms following his arrest.
The Marshall athletic department issued a statement saying Grooms was dismissed Saturday for a violation of team rules and policies. The department said it would have no further comment.
Western Regional Jail records show Grooms was charged with domestic assault, burglary, petit larceny and fleeing on foot. Jail records didn't indicate whether he has an attorney.
Last November, Grooms was arrested on domestic battery and obstruction charges and was suspended from the team indefinitely.
Grooms led Marshall as a freshman in 2012 with 737 rushing yards. He ran for 503 yards during an injury-plagued season in 2013.
