The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries wants your feedback.
The first deals with hunting, trapping and fishing license and permit fees. A regulation amendment would allow Virginia residents to purchase two, three and four year hunting, trapping and freshwater fishing licenses.
The proposed resulting total costs to license buyers, including the existing license agent fee, are:
| Type of License | 1-year | 2-year | 3-year | 4-year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Hunting |
$23 | $44 | $65 | $86 |
| Basic Freshwater Fishing | $23 | $44 | $65 | $86 |
| Basic Trapping | $46 | $90 | $134 |
$178 |
Customers who buy multiple year licenses would save the following amounts compared to annual license buyers:
| Type of Savings to License Buyer | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-year | 2-year | 3-year | 4-year | |
| License Fee Savings | $0 | $1 | $2 | $3 |
| Agent Fee Savings | $0 | $1 | $2 | $3 |
| Total Savings to Buyer | $0 | $2 | $4 | $6 |
