Harbor Springs' Andy Bowman wins triathlon

Bowman, 40, finished in 1 hour, 26 minutes, 23.1 seconds. Michael Bellovich, 21, of Grosse Pointe was second in 1:28:16.3. Bellovich won the event last year, while Bowman was second.
Crispin Napolitano of Bentleyville, Ohio, was third in 1:28:57.8.
Jeffries, 34, finished in 1:46:00.5, and placed 19th overall. Katelyn Alessi of Harbor Springs was the second female across the finish line, while Jullien Flynn of Sault Ste. Marie was third.
Alessi, 17, finished in 1:46:59.9, while Flynn, 19, came in at 1:48:18.9.
