The Arizona Cardinals selected Logan Thomas in the 4th round of the NFL Draft on Saturday. The Virginia Tech quarterback from Lynchburg will play for Cardinals Head Coach, Bruce Arians, who played at Tech and coached as a graduate assistant in the 70s.
Another Hokie drafted on Saturday was cornerback Antone Exum. The Minnesota Vikings selected the Richmond native in the sixth round as the182nd overall pick. Exum was the 25th cornerback taken in this draft.
Elsewhere in the state, three more Virginia college players are headed to the pros. In the 4th round, Liberty's Walt Aikens was selected by Miami. The Flames cornerback was selected by the Dolphins as the 125th overall pick.
Then later in the 4th round, as the 134th overall pick, the Baltimore Ravens drafted UVA defensive tackle, Brent Urban. His teammate, Luke Bowanko was selected by Jacksonville in the 6th round. The UVA offensive lineman was drafted by the Jaguars as the 205th overall pick.
