The VHSL Basketball State Semifinals wrapped-up Saturday across the state with a total of 4 area teams earning their spot in state title games next week in Richmond.

Altavista’s boys won their 1A semifinal Friday night and they will face Radford in the championship game after the Bobcats defeated Surry County 68-53. In group 2A, Dan River knocked-off Brunswick 66-45 while Martinsville lost to Bruton 56-36. In the 3A semifinals, Lord Botetourt’s run came to an end by the hands of John Marshall 58-52 and in 4A, GW-Danville fell to Norcom 64-53.

In the girls 4A semifinals, William Fleming punched their ticket to the title game, beating Woodrow Wilson 38-32.
