AFC Championship game has a Virginia storyline to it

The AFC Championship game will have a Virginia storyline to it this weekend.  Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin is a Newport News native who played at William & Mary and spent the 1995 season as an assistant coach at VMI.

Say what you want about Rex Ryan, the colorful coach that will be on the opposite sideline at Heinz Field, but Tomlin says he's a big fan.

"I love Rex.  He has a lot of fun with you guys, but when you see past all of that this guy is a great football coach.  He has the pulse of his football team.  He does a great job of motivating them.  He's very sound, schematically in all three phases.  His glass is always half full.  I appreciate that," said Tomlin.
