Trevor Bayne was the surprise winner of the first race of the Sprint Cup Season, the Daytona 500.  Bayne made plenty of appearances around the country after his victory in the Wood Brothers 21 car.  Bayne though hasn't been seen recently behind the wheel of a car due to health issues.  Bayne who was suppose to drive full-time for Roush Fenway in the Nationwide Series this year has been on the shelf with fatigue and double vision.  Trevor thought he was suffering from the effects of an insect bite, but when that didn't clear up he went to the Mayo Clinic to try and find the reason for his symptoms.

Bayne spoke to the media publicly for the first time at Charlotte Motor Speedway about his health, saying doctors still don't know what caused his problems.  Bayne has been cleared to driver again, but will not be in any type of car this weekend at Charlotte.  Roush Fenway not wanting to tax him by having him drive a total of 900 miles between the Sprint Cup Series and the Nationwide.
