Five Virginia Tech football players have been invited to and will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine.
Wide receivers Corey Fuller and Marcus Davis, along with offensive linemen Nick Becton and Vinston Painter, and linebacker Bruce Taylor all received invitations. All five are seniors.
Taylor led the team in sacks and was third in tackles. Davis finished just nine yards shy of the school record for receiving yards in a season. Fuller started his college career as a track start at Kansas.
More than 300 NFL prospects are invited to the combine, which is an opportunity for NFL scouts to assess the players’ talent.
