LYNCHBURG, Va.—
Liberty quarterback Josh Woodrum has been named Big South Freshman of the Week for his performance Saturday at Montana.
Woodrum, who started his first collegiate game against Monday, finished with 322 passing yards on 34 of 44 attempts in the Flames' 34-14 loss. Woodrum is a Cave Spring graduate.
The 34 completions set a new single-game school record. He also became the 11th passer in Flames history to throw for more than 300 yards in a game.
Liberty (0-3) will play its final non-conference game of the season when it hosts 16th-ranked Lehigh at 7 p.m. Saturday. Lehigh enters Saturday's game with a 3-0 record.
