Former Virginia Tech forward JT Thompson is officially a member of the UNC Charlotte men's basketball team. Thompson got his medical clearance to play a sixth year, now with the 49ers.
His new school announced the transfer in a press release, saying Thompson is already enrolled in summer courses.
Charlotte head coach Alan Major said Thompson quote, "Has experience, leadership skills and toughness and has competed at a high level."
Thompson missed the last two season after tearing first his left, then his right ACL.
