Here's a recap of high school boys basketball action from Tuesday night:
- Salem 62, Cave Spring 54: Cave Spring traveled to Salem for a River Ridge battle.
The Knights won the previous meeting between the two, in early January.
Amin Abuhawwas had a game-high 19 points.
Alex Light. led the Spartans with 12 points.
Salem eventually pulled away to hand Cave its third straight loss.
- William Fleming 64, Halifax 29: Halifax beat William Fleming by 4 earlier this season.
The Colonels' Miles Henderson had 9 assists on the night, and Warren Craft had 12 points in the 1st quarter, 25 for the game. Craft is a freshman and already one of the top players in the area.
Fleming led 23-6 after the opening period.
The Colonels snapped a three-game losing streak with the win.
