The Hokies trailed Maryland 1-nothing in the 6th inning of their ACC opener in Chapel Hill, but Betty Rose singled in Kylie McGoldrick to tie the game before Kat Banks ripped a grand slam as the Hokies advanced to face North Carolina in the Friday semifinals with the 5 to 2 win over the Terps.
