The Virginia Tech Hokies 3 and 3 record is their worst start since the 1992 season when they went 2-8 and 1, Frank Beamer's 6th year in Blacksburg.
It's a team at a crossroads for sure, as Duke prepares to visit on homecoming Saturday.

The Hokies' streak of eight straight 10 win seasons is in serious jeopardy and will likely come to an end.  And it's not a given that their run of 19 straight bowl games will be extended either, especially given the remaining schedule.
Quarterback Logan Thomas guarantees a bowl appearance.
The players say they simply need to avoid trying to do too much and stick to their responsibilities.
"We just need to be able to put a complete game together for sixty minutes," says cornerback Antone Exum. "just everybody doing their job and nobody playing hero ball and doing someone else's job nd we'll be ok."
Tech won't see the Duke Blue Devils of old this weekend.  It is a team that is one of just three unbeatens in the conference, one now believing that it can win--a team that includes the ACC's all time receptions leader in Conner Vernon.
