The Roanoke College Softball team is back in town after winning the NCAA Regional Tournament in Newport News this past weekend.
Up next for the Maroons is the Division III Softball College World Series, which is right in their back yard at the Moyer Complex in Salem. Roanoke returns to the big stage for the first time since 2001, riding an 11-game win-streak into this year's World Series.
The Maroons will face Tufts in the opening round Friday night, and are looking forward to showing what they've got in front of the home crowd.
Here's the schedule of games Friday in Salem:
11:00am – Game No. 1: Linfield v. Ohio Northern
1:30pm – Game No. 2: Pacific Lutheran v. Luther
4:00pm – Game No. 3: Plattsburgh St. v. Montclair St.
6:30pm – Game No. 4: Roanoke v. Tufts
