The ODAC women's basketball tournament began Monday night. The top four seeds earned a first-round bye. That left eight teams to duke it out for a spot in Thursday's quarterfinals, held at the Salem Civic Center.
7 seed Roanoke was upset at home by 10 seed Randolph-Macon. The Maroons lost 72-64. Randolph-Macon will face Guilford on Thursday.
8 seed Washington and Lee defeated 9 seed Emory and Henry 69-48. The Generals face Eastern Mennonite in the quarterfinals.
5 seed Lynchburg beat 12 seed Randolph 83-79. Lynchburg will play Bridgewater on Thursday.
11 seed Hollins lost at 6 seed Shenandoah 69-64. Shenandoah will face Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday.
