Sources: Former Alabama quarterback transferring to Virginia
Just three days after Alabama quarterback Phillip Sims announced that he is transferring after the spring semester, comes news that he will enroll at the University of Virginia.

Sources are reporting that Sims told coaches at Virginia that he was transferring to UVA. The Chesapeake, Virginia, native said that he wanted to be closer to home to support his family.

The third-year sophomore was one of the nation's most highly touted quarterback prospects, but lost a battle with A.J. McCaron for the starting job early last season. Sims played in eight games, completing 64 percent of his passes for 163 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions.
