The Hokie's "Fan Frenzy" rally took place Thursday in Orlando. While this season hasn't been the best for Tech, the fans we spoke to are excited for the big game.
WDBJ7's Carl Deffenbaugh was there to see how fans are getting ready for the bowl.
people on espn.com are calling out the tech fans saying things like "fake" "bandwagon" "jr level" "pre-teen fanbase" "the vt vicks" "michael stadium at vick field" "1-29" "jmu" "should've stayed in big east" blah blah blah. first time since i was last a tech fan i'm rooting for the birds. beat those yuppy northeastern pricks and their yank-off yankee ways.
I'm here in Orlando - the demand is there for the game just the location is horrible cause of holiday traveling. The plane flights in and out of the Roanoke/SW Virginia area to Orlando or anywhere nearby is very very few and far between. I had to fly into airport 1hour away from Disney to get to hotel (which isn't cheap either). So the demand is there, hokie fans want to see their team but the costs and the options to get here isn't very good. As for Sarah aka UVA fan, if the hokies win great - if they lose at least they got to play a bowl game unlike UVA.
GO HOKIES! I will represent all you guys that wanted to be here!
Go Hokies!!!!!!
