Blacksburg 8, E.C. Glass 1 - Geinda Smith scored two goals and an assist as the Bruins made quick work of the Hilltoppers, winning at home 8-1. Blacksburg, in search of the program's 12th state championship, will face Tuscarora at 2pm Friday at Radford University.
Jefferson Forest 6, Bassett 0 - Group AA defending champ Jefferson Forest eliminated Bassett 6-0 in a downpour on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will play Jamestown at 4pm Friday at Radford University.

Blacksburg 2, Spotswood 0 - The Lady Bruins defended a 1-0 lead all night, adding a second goal in the final two minutes of play to defeat visiting Spotswood 2-0. Blacksburg, runner-up in 2011, will play Woodgrove in the semifinals at 10am Friday at Radford University.
Jefferson Forest 3, Salem 0 - JF shutout the Spartans to advance to the state semifinals. The Lady Cavs will play Loudon County at 12pm on Friday at Radford University.

James River 3, Gate City 0 - James River will play George Mason at 10am Friday at Radford University.
Baseball Group AA Quarterfinals
Cave Spring 8, Jefferson Forest 6 - The Cave Spring Knights, who already won the River Ridge tournament title and the Region IV crown, took down Jefferson Forest 8-6 on Tuesday to advance to the state semifinals. The Knights will play Powhatan on Friday at Pulaski's Calfee Park.
Brookville 7, Hidden Valley 4 - The Bees will play Grafton at 1pm Friday in the state semifinals at Pulaski's Calfee Park.
