The 58th annual ACC Basketball Tournament gets underway Thursday afternoon at the Greensboro Coliseum.  Wednesday was practice day at the Coliseum
     It is not how you start but how you finish. It has not been that way recently for Virginia Tech. In each of the Hokies last two games both losses against Boston College and Clemson the Hokies suffered double digit deficits in the first ten minutes of the game. But in their last win against Georgia Tech, the Hokies used an early lead to get the victory over the Yellowjackets.

     Jeff Allen says "We can't start out slow because that is when we have our downfall. If we start out with a quick jump like we did at home against them, I feel like we could take them."
     The hokies got some inspiration from their four red-shirt players who practiced for the first time this season.
     Terrell Bell says "When we see JT and Zo out there shooting it gives us a boost a little bit. tomorrow night is a big game for the seniors, they are going to be there to watch so we have to go out and play."
      JT Thompson says "I wish I could play right now I wish I could get into the game and play, make a run to the NCAA tournament."
      One player who is not red-shirting this season but sat out practice today, is one of the Hokies leading scorers, Jeff Allen who suffered a sprained ankle against Clemson.
Virginia Tech Coach, Seth Greenberg, says "We are trying to make sure he can play tomorrow night against Georgia Tech, he is getting treatment and should be ready to go."
