Virginia Tech's wrestling team is home Saturday evening when they host in-state rivals UVA. This match will most likely determine the ACC's regular season champ on the mat.
Both the Hokies and the Cavaliers are 2 and 0 in the conference, the only two squads that remain unbeaten in the conference on the mats. The last time out Tech got a non-conference win over Leheigh.
Now comes the time to get back into ACC action and keep a lengthy run of success going.
"No question, UVA is the team for us to beat to win the dual meet season, I think we have had a winning streak since 2008 in the ACC and we want to keep that going. We want to finish out the year undefeated in the ACC dual meet and then do a good job at the tournament," said Kevin Dresser.
The Hokies are currently ranked seventh in the country and are looking to break an attendance record Saturday night. They have set a goal of 5,000 fans in Cassell Coliseum.
